Issues with Trend Micro Antivirus Software

There have been a few issues noticed with specifically Trend Micro antivirus software: https://www.trendmicro.com/.

In particular, this antivirus software interferes with incoming force and position data from the Mach-1. Some examples include:
  1. Causing a delay between the force and position data, invalidating many safety systems (automatically stopping motors when overloading a load cell).
  2. Causing buffer and data overflow errors such as DAQ error -200279, -200361, VISA error, etc.
We recommend never installing this software on PCs that will be used with the Biomomentum Mach-1.
